Fimea organises a Horizon Scanning event for pharmaceutical companies 16th of May

At the event, pharmaceutical companies can present new medicines intended for hospital use to Fimea's HTA division and the secretariat of the Council for Choices in Health Care in Finland. Fimea hopes that companies participating in the event will primarily be those awaiting a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for a new hospital-use product or a significant indication expansion for an existing product in the years 2025 and 2026.

Companies interested in the event are asked to register by email (hta(at)fimea.fi) by April 30, 2025. When registering, they should provide a provisional list of people participating in the consultation and send a short preliminary description of the products to be presented.

The event will be held on Friday, 16 May 2025. Fimea reserves the right to limit the number of companies participating in the event. A more precise company-specific time will be announced later to the companies participating in the event.

Participants are welcome to attend the event at Fimea's Helsinki offices (Mannerheimintie 166) or remotely. The virtual meeting program used by Fimea is Microsoft Teams. If the presenter prefers to use another program, this must be mentioned during registration. In this case, the presenting company will take responsibility of the virtual meeting arrangements. The presentations will take a maximum of 20 minutes per company. The presentation and materials can be in either Finnish or English.
