Secure Mail

Below is a summary of the most common questions related to Secure Mail. More detailed instructions can be found by pressing the question mark icon in the upper right corner of the Secure Mail service.

Registration

You must register to the service to send messages. Enter your email address in the "From" field and press the "Continue" button. Register your email address using the "Register" button. You can end the session without registering using the “Exit” button.

Finding the confirmation message link

After registration, you will receive a confirmation email to the registered email address with a link to the Fimea Secure Mail portal. The link is located at the bottom of the confirmation message and begins with https.

Finding transmission instructions

For more detailed instructions on how to send, click the question mark icon in the upper right corner of the Secure Mail service. The instructions will vary depending on the stage at which you send the secure mail.

Did the transmission succeed or not?

The maximum size of a message with attachments to be sent using the Secure Mail service is 50MB. If the mail exceeds 50MB, the secure service will provide notification of transmission failure. In such event, the material to be sent can be divided into several different mails and the mails clearly indicated as being related.

Reading secure mail

In order to be able to read the confidential message again, you must either save the confidential email with attachments themselves from Secure Mail or save the password to the confidential email when logging out.
