Supervision

Fimea inspects the licensed blood and tissue establishments regularly, at least every two years. The inspections of blood and tissue establishments are subject to a fee in accordance with the Decree on fees chargeable by the Finnish Medicines Agency (Finlex) (in Finnish).

On request, Fimea provides guidance and advice on the application of regulations concerning the operation of blood and tissue establishments.
