Meds75+ database now available for use as open data

11.6.2019

Fimea has published the Meds75+ database on its website as open data source code, making its contents more readily usable as part of different databases.

Maintained by Fimea, the Meds75+ database is designed to support pharmacotherapy decision-making in primary health care. Its objective is to help to choose medicines that are suitable, effec-tive and safe for persons over 75 years of age. The elderly and their family members can also use the database, because it is available for all free of charge on the Fimea website. The database is also available in Swedish and English.

Secondary use of data showcased in the HIMSS & Health 2.0 event

Influencers in digital healthcare and health technology will meet in Helsinki on 11-13 June for the international HIMSS & Health 2.0 Conference that will be organised in Finland for the first time.

At the lead of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, health and social sector authorities, in-cluding Fimea, are participating in the event where they will highlight Kanta services, legislation that facilitates the secondary use of health and social data as well as the utilisation of artificial intelligence and robotics in health services. In the HIMSS & Health 2.0 Conference exhibition area, the Finland Pavilion can be found in booth 6a40.
