Supervision Committee
Issues related to pharmacies processed and decided upon by the Fimea Supervision Committee are those concerning the granting of pharmacy licences referred to in sections 40 and 43 of the Medicines Act, the temporary prohibition of pharmacy management referred to in section 49 of the Act, pharmacy licence revocation referred to in section 50 of the Act and the disciplinary measures referred to in section 51 of the Act.
The Supervision Committee comprises a chair and vice-chair and a maximum of two other members. One member must represent pharmaceutical and one legal expertise. Provisions regarding the Supervision Committee are laid down in the Government Decree on the Finnish Medicines Agency 132/1993/ (section 10).
