The Homeopathic Medicinal Products Working Group convened for its meeting during Finland’s EU presidency

The meeting of the Homeopathic Medicinal Products Working Group (HMPWG) during Finland’s presidency of the Council of the EU was arranged on 24–25 October 2019 at the National Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Romania. The meeting was chaired by Finland.

HMPWG is a working group subordinate to the European Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA) tasked with promoting the harmonisation of the sub-area of supervision pertaining to homeopathic medicinal products that are subject to pharmaceutical regulations.

HMPWG commenced its operations in 1999 as an unofficial working group of the HMA. It held a total of 10 meetings, until in 2005, it became an official working group of the HMA. The HMPWG meeting now arranged was the 30th meeting of the official working group. HMPWG convenes two times a year.
